This place suits me perfectly! Free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, and a lovely outdoor dining area provide everything I need. I remember the staff kindly returning my forgotten earpods. Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing holiday!

Its location is marvellous to a distant station. The units are modest, unique. We would come here again, the venue met the demands: )

good, quiet location. very good breakfasts. helpful staff.
The top floor seems a long way up with no elevator with a suitcase. perhaps staff could help those who are in this situation with a hand!

Especially helpful and attentive staff, they made my day!!
The total stay was really good during the same vacation. Its excellent, central location was a plus. Btw, the airport was 10 km away. I thoroughly enjoyed well-appointed and nicely furnished rooms with bathroom.

The particularly good and perfect location for the price, close enough to Harvard University and the Harvard subway station as well as a supermarket. Also, in a nice neighborhood. Spotless & functional room with a bathroom.

Very pleasant atmosphere
I had booked for 3 nights but needed 4 as had put 14th as arrival but was actually arriving on 13th. Was coming from Australia and rrror would have been due to adding a day to departure date as is over 20 hour journey, but dateline crossing means I arrived on 13th. In the event there was a free family room which was good. But I was charged full rate although as I arrived after 9pm it was not going to get rented, and I would have thought could have been done at about the same rate as for the 3 days. I was lucky there was an empty room. You were lucky to fill it at all.

The beds were comfortable and the TV large. I liked the free wireless.
The first room offered was extremely small. Also, there was a musty smell to the room we did have.

The location and the price.
It is not really close to subway stations. If you are carrying large/heavy bags you will need a taxi.

The location was very good, and the room was clean.
This is not a b+b in the traditional sense: it could generously be called a "hostel," not so generously called "boarding house." When you spend $150/night for a room, you expect to have a private bath. You will have not have one at Irving House. In fact, there is only a single bath and toilet for the entire second floor. When you spend $150/night for a room, you expect that the "breakfast" advertised as having "many options" will not mean that there are eggs in the fridge downstairs that you can make for yourself, or pots of coffee that have been out since very early in the morning, or boxes of cereal in the cabinet that you can use. If I did not read something carefully enough, that is my fault. But do not make the mistake I did: pay $10 or $20 more and stay at a place with reasonable amenities and equivalent convenience. It will not be hard to find at all.

I liked the very helpful staff. They tried to get our room ready quickly and let us check in early. They provided us with many answers to questions and directions to places. I liked the hotel's convenient location by the Boston T. The setting was pretty and I felt like I was experiencing Cambridge well. Traffic was very easy to handle at this location , but most things were is walking distance.
I thought the price was a bit high when compared with what was offered (room size, king size bed, elaborate hot breakfast) for a lower rate at the Kendall Hotel the following day.

The rooms with a shower. Particularly good and absolutely perfect location, a short walk to everywhere. Also, easy to get to Memorial Hall.

I liked the personal feel, the people and the location was great. I did have the one with the ensuite bathroom which I paid extra for that facility but for me it is worth it. My sharing bathrooms is over, I like my luxuries. I loved it and would recommend it.
It was a struggle getting my luggage up two flights of stairs as I was at the top but really that is minor. One shouldn't travel with so much stuff as I do and it was what 2 minutes of inconvenience for a nice room and I felt safe which is important as I am a solo traveller.
